What is Fotona SmoothEye?
SmoothEye® is a laser rejuvenation method for tightening of the periocular region and reducing the appearance of periorbital wrinkles. SmoothEye® tightens loose and aging skin of the eyelids and periocular region with little-to-no downtime, making this a very sought after non-invasive cosmetic procedure.
After a few treatment sessions, the result is improved skin elasticity, overall structure which gives a less tired and fresher appearance.
About the procedure
SmoothEye laser rejuvenation is a safe, well tolerated and quick procedure that can be performed all year round. It lasts 30 minutes. Upon your arrival, the skin of the periocular region is covered with an anaesthetic creme, therefore you feel minimal pain or discomfort during the treatment. The laser treatment itself last around 10 minutes.
Immediately after the procedure there is some skin redness which disappears after 30 minutes. The skin of the treated area will feel dry the next two to three days. During this time we recommend the use of ointments to keep the skin hydrated. The skin will delicately peel off the fourth day and will be replaced with smooth and fresher looking skin afterwards. In order to achieve optimal results four treatments are recommended. As SmoothEye procedure induces new collagen production, we expect final results one month after the last procedure.
This treatment is extremely safe and has no side effects. The end result is reduction of small wrinkles around the eyes, tightening of the upper and lower eyelid and more youngfull appearance.

Fotona SMOOTH mode
Fotona’s revolutionary non-ablative Fotona SMOOTH® mode treats the skin in a smooth, almost “feather-like” non-ablative manner, without bleeding and with precisely controlled temperature deposition. The optical energy is delivered in a unique, sub-second long pulse sequence which prevents temperature build-up at the surface and achieves homogeneous heating within several hundred micrometers of the tissue. This special modality is used also on others areas of the face, for example on the lips, where we call it the Fotona LipLase treatment.
