The method
In our clinic, we use a combination of two efficient techniques, the fractional laser ablation and Dermapen roller.
With the controlled laser beam and with the automatic micro-needles of Dermapen we create microscopic injuries or holes in the epidermis. These do not injure the skin, however they do set off a cascade of reactions, such as growth factor activation, collagen and elastin formation, thus the regeneration process is initiated.
About the procedure
The treatment is safe and lasts about 15 minutes, depending on the size of the region which is being treated. Before starting the procedure a cream containing a local anesthetic is used therefore no or very little pain is felt during the treatment. To achieve best results we recommend repeating the session 3 - 4 times in two week intervals. Since the regeneration process takes time, the results can be seen only after a month, furthermore the healing processes can be active up to two years after the procedure.
Skin regeneration
Dermapen and laser ablation not only reduce scarring but also increase skin tone, making the skin smoother and fresher. That is why we also use them for skin rejuvenation.
