How does it work?

The latest Fotona's laser QX MAX was made especially for pigment removal. It produces a nanosecond-pulse that creates a photo-acoustic effect in your skin, which breaks down tiny pigment particles without damaging other skin structures. The broken up tattoo particles are then naturally removed through your immune system in a matter of weeks.

About the procedure

The procedure is safe, quick and easy. It needs to be carried out 4 to 8 times on average and is usually repeated every 4 to 6 weeks. Darker or amateur tattoos are easier to remove.

During the treatment you can feel slight to moderate pain which is controlled with an anesthetic cream and simultaneous cooling. After the procedure there are transient swelling and redness of the treated area.

Removal of other pigmented lesions

Other types of pigment changes can be removed with the same laser. Much of the population, especially the elderly, are troubled by sun freckles, which are the result of UV radiation on the most exposed parts of the skin: the face, shoulders and neck area.

The QX MAX laser can remove them in as little as 1 or 2 procedures. Pigmented birthmarks in the colour of white coffee (cafe au lait spots) and melasma can also be removed, as well as hereditary birthmarks and other acquired spots, freckles and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentations.
